Birthstones Are Great Gifts Especially For Birthdays
A specific gem that’s devoted to a certain month dates back to the 1st century. These birthstones are viewed as being holy and are said to have special powers. When a person wears their birthstone they are said to have the powers the gems hold bestowed to them. There has been many arguements in times as whether these stones should be given to the individuals as per their astrology signs or as their birth months.
Before the year 1912, the sun sign decided the birthstone, then America formed a list of birthstones for each month. This list is followed in America and other countries like India and Australia.
The astrologers were the ones who came up with birthstone jewelry. They linked specific stones to match zodiac signs for each month. To make it easy, they made each month one stone to represent that month. Each stone is supposed to convey good luck and fate if they are worn by the individual born in that month only.
It doesn’t matter the shape of the stone. They are cut and put in birthstone charms, birthstone pendants, birthstone earrings, birthstone rings, and birthstone bracelets. These pieces of jewelry are said to carry great fortune and great fate to the ones wearing them. It’s also said that the ones wearing these pieces of jewelry will also experience good health and wealth and will avoid sickness and negativity. What is very fascinating is that birthstone jewelry also has great reference in the Bible. It was said that the breastplate that Aaron worn was crusted with 12 birthstones to represent each month.
The birthstone jewelry was suppose to originally represent the different sun signs. However, as time went by they were found to be linked to the 12 months of a year. In the recent years, many more people have become crazed over birthstone jewelry and are purchasing it for gifts and their personal use. One fact that cannnot be ignored is that many people are buying birthstone jewelry as important gifts, which are apprciated by the ones receiving them.
Since we are talking about the birthstone jewelry it would be wrong not to list the 12 months of stones in this article. For january, the gorgeous maroon garnet represents the month. In the month of February the amethyst represents the month. The month of March is represented by the gorgeous aquamarine. While diamonds are for all who is born in the month of April.
For the month of May, the people wear bright emeralds and for people born in June, they wear the pearls. If you were born in July, you would wear the amazing ruby. For people born in August, you are to wear the peridot. If you were born in September, then you wear sapphires to represent the month you were born. For people born in October, you would wear opal. In November people wear citrine, while people born in December wear turquoise.
